The Qur'an tells us that Allah sent Nuh (peace be upon him) to his people, who had taken idols. He called them to worship Allah alone and warned them of a great punishment if they kept refusing. He gave sincere counsel and spoke with patient care. A hadith tells us that on the Day of Judgement, people will come to him and say, "You are the first of the messengers to the people of the earth." His mission began with truth and kindness.
