Allah sent Nuh (peace be upon him) to his people, who had taken idols, to call them to worship Allah alone and to warn them of a great punishment if they persisted. He conveyed his Lord’s message with sincere counsel, urging them toward what would truly help them. A hadith tells us that on the Day of Judgement, people will come to him and say, "You are the first of the messengers to the people of the earth." This honor marks his early place among the messengers.
